Error 2753 upon install.
Hi Everyone,
I have just recently started a new job and my company uses Vipre Business Agent. This is my first exposure to Vipre products and I have run into an issue on my first installation attempt.
The machine I am having trouble with is a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit laptop. It is on a domain and I copied the installer MSI from the network to the local drive. I start the install and it almost appears to complete and I get the following message.
'Error 2753: The file ,sbamsvc.exe.6C2C1262_EACB_455A_9023_2C597F2E7AC2' IS NOT MARKED FOR INSTALLATION.
When I click OK, it rolls the installation back.
Does anyone happen to have any information, suggestions, thoughts, or ideas for a Vipre noob?
Thank you all for the time. Have a great afternoon!
Respectfully,
George D.

Hi George, we just opened a new support case to look into this issue with you. Error 2753 can occur for a few reasons so we will need to take a look at the log files to figure out what happened. You should be receiving an email soon with the next steps for troubleshooting.

Has there been a resolution to this problem? I am having the same problem only with Window 10.
Robert Kaulbach
Hi Matthew, we can resolve this issue but we will need to see the logs from your installation. Error 2753 is rather broad and could be caused by anything from system issues to corrupt installations of VIPRE. We just opened a ticket and you should be getting an email soon with the next steps to try.

I know this is an old post but I have fixed a lot of issues, including this one, by running the 'MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta' tool. I usually see that VIPRE is still there and uninstall it with the tool. Once that is done I am able to reinstall VIPRE. Hope this helps.

Jeremy's recommendation seemed to help me today. Although, now I cannot download definitions.

You can try to manually apply them and then check to see if it starts getting them automatically. https://support.threattracksecurity.com/support/solutions/articles/1000190912-how-to-manually-update-vipre-business-definitions

RSC Helpdesk
Jeremy,
Thank you for providing the information about 'MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta'. It solved the 2753 error.
When you try to install Adobe Reader, the installer returns the following error message: Pixelstyle photo editor 3 6 1 download free.
'Internal error 2753 Updater.api_NON_OPT' or a version of this error message, and then quits.
You sometimes also see the error message during the process of removing a previous version of Adobe Reader.
Solution 1: Remove all previous versions of Acrobat and Adobe Reader using Add/Remove programs.
- From the Control Panel, choose Add/Remove programs.
- Select the most recent version of Acrobat or Adobe Reader in the list and click Remove.
- When prompted, confirm that you want to remove the application.
- Repeat these steps until there are no more Acrobat or Reader entries in the list.
If the Add/Remove Programs control panel does not let you remove the application, try to repair the Reader installation by reinstalling the same Reader version first.
Solution 2: Remove the Acrobat or Reader Windows Installer registry keys.
